Some examples of our building, installation and refurbishment projects

Before - plasterboard removed from small understairs cupboard After - accessible new Saniflo toilet and sink

Convertion of a cupboard into a WC

This client required TJF Services to move the wall of a small cupboard and fit a downstairs WC to meet strict Building Standards accessibility requirements. Walls were plastered, the floor tiled, a Saniflo toilet was fitted (with ventilation system), a sink was plumbed in and the result was a roomy and accessible WC.

Before - confined bathroom with no bath After - airy new bathroom with bath and recessed toilet After - power shower complete with overhead waterproof lighting and extractor fan

Installing a new bathroom

This work area was confined and featured a low ceiling. To maximise space a recessed toilet was used (with the cistern installed behind the wall in unused loft space) and the bath was fitted low to the ground to maximise head room. Plastering, floor and wall tiling, and the installation of a radiator completed the job.

Before - dark, cramped utility room After - spacious and light open plan utility and rear hall

Creating an open plan utility room

For this client we removed the wall between a small rear hall and a cramped utility room. Walls were plastered, lights fitted, bamboo work surface cut to size, Belfast sink installed and the floor was tiled. The cupboards were fitted to hide a boiler and washing machine, and the result was a large, bright, open plan utility room.

Before - dimly lit bathroom After - bright new study complete with flooring and extra double window

Convertion of a bathroom into a home office

This convertion required the removal of an old bathroom and cloak cupboard to meet plans agreed by Building Standards. The room was fitted with new wiring, sockets, lights and a fuse box. The walls and ceiling were plastered, floor boards laid and a new double window was installed (below) to create a bright home office.

Before - plain exterior wall with patchwork guttering After - newly fitted window and crisp new exterior paint work

Fitting a double window and house painting

We fitted a double window to this house to provide a view of a garden and to allow light into a new home office. A hole was cut, the lintel and sill were fitted, the window was installed and render applied. The exterior of the house was also painted to freshen it up, with white walls, grey sills and black guttering.

Before - existing fireplace removed to create a larger opening for a new stove After - fireplace walls built and plastered, with new slate hearth ready for stove installation

Fireplace installation

TJF services were requested to open up an old fireplace for this project. The client wanted room to install a stove, so the first job was to open the old fireplace up, then create a wider opening to allow for the installation of a stove. The job was completed with the building and plastering of the new walls and tiling the hearth with slate tiles.

Before - an old range the customer wanted to update to a stove After - the finished fireplace with newly installed stove

Fireplace and stove installation

In addition to fitting fireplaces we also supply and fit stoves. This client had an old range that needed to be replaced with something more effective. After stripping the old range out, the new fireplace was built up and plastered. After tiling the hearth we then fitted the new stove to complete the job.

A roaring fire in the newly installed stove Installation of a stainless steel flue liner for safe exhausting of stove gases

Stove and flue installation

For this particular client we were required to fit a stove to a highly ornamental fireplace, ensuring that the stove fitted inside the existing stonework. Using an articulated boom, a flue had to be installed from the stove up to the chimney pot (several floors up) for safe exhausting of stove gases.

We replaced an old felt roof with GRP, including new facia boards and gutters Another GRP roof installation, this time an upgrade from a zinc roof

Upgrading felt and zinc roofs to GRP (fibreglass)

We fit GRP, or fibreglass roofs that are so reliable they come with a 25 year guarantee. The examples shown to the right feature roofs that have been upgraded from felt and zinc to GRP. TJF Services also supply and fit facia boards and guttering in a range of styles to match varied exteriors.

Left incomplete by another company, TJF Services stepped in to complete the build, then supply and fit the roller door TJF Services can supply and fit a wide variety of steel framed agricultural sheds

Supply and installation of agricultural sheds

TJF Services supply and fit a wide variety of steel framed agricultural sheds. We often deal with storm damaged sheds and provide a number of solutions. The green shed to the right was left incomplete by another company, so we were contracted to finish the build, then supply and fit the roller door.

Before - damaged agricultural shed During - site cleared and damaged shed removed During - steel frame erected After - new steel framed agriculural shed ready for use

Erecting a new agricultural shed

For this particular job TJF Services were requested to replace an agricultural shed that had been damanged by snow and ice. The project included site clearance, preparation of ground works, laying foundations and the erection of a new steel framed agricultural shed.
